Vitamin C Titration Lab Results

The purpose of this lab was to have students perform a microscale titration on vitamin C tablets with NaOH.  Based on the amount of NaOH added to reach the endpoint, students can calculate the molarity of the vitamin C solution, the number of moles, and the number of grams.  The equation for the titration is:

H₂C₆H₆O6 + NaOH --> NaHC₆H₆O₆ + H₂O
