The purpose of this day was to allow students to see physics in action and to
review principles discussed in the class throughout the year.
Before the trip, students were broken up into groups and assigned different
rides to explore. Each ride had a packet with instructions for
measurements and calculations needed. Students looked over the packets
beforehand, did the assigned work at the park, and
then were free to explore the park as they wished. The experience and results were
discussed the next day in class.
