This lab was meant to illustrate the process of natural selection.
Students took 4 colors of beads (blue, red, yellow, and clear) and placed 25 of
each in a 3x3 tile square on the classroom floor. Each student had 45
seconds to pick up as many beads as can. They were instructed to stand up
after selecting a bead and look down and grab the first bead they saw. At
the end of the 45 seconds, the amount of each color captured was recorded.
If done correctly, blue and red should have had the biggest number captured,
yellow should have the third amount captured, and clear should have the least
amount captured.
