The purpose of this lab was to introduce students to momentum involved in
collisions. Students worked through 6 stations and collided objects with
one another to observe how changes in mass and velocity of the objects affected
the motion after the collision. The six stations were:
-Marble against two sizes of rubber stopper
-Superball
against two sizes of rubber stopper
-Two marbles of the
same size
-Two marbles of different sizes
-Two toy cars of the same mass
-Two cars of different
masses
