The purpose of this lab was to introduce students to the concept of convert
grams to moles. Students measured the mass of a piece of chalk, wrote
their name on the board, and massed the chalk after writing. The grams
used were divided by the molar mass of chalk (calcium carbonate) to find the
number of moles used.
