The purpose of this lab was to have students explore different properties of
light. We started by separating sunlight and white light into its
component colors and calculating the percent of each color in the spectrum by
measuring the width of each band. The mixing of colors was then explored
further by using a color wheel and websites. Polarization was then looked
at with filters. Interference was explored with a laser and double slit
opening and also with websites.
