The purpose of this lab was to have students find the focal length of a convex
lens. An object, lens, and screen were set up on a meter stick. The
lens was adjusted until a clear image appeared on the screen. The focal
length was then calculated and observations of the image were made. The
same lens was then held above a book and the image was observed and observations
were taken at the following points: beyond 2F, at 2F, between 2F and F, at
F, in front of F.
