The purpose of this lab was to have students use two pieces of pipe insulation
as a ramp that would launch a marble. The groups tried to launch the
marble as far as they could. Students had to experiment with ramp height
and launch angle. This lab reviewed 2-D motion and also introduced the principles of energy conservation (potential vs. kinetic)
which are used in the subsequent roller coaster lab.
