Dichotomous Key Lab

This lab activity reviewed the use of dichotomous keys with students.  There are two options for this lab.  The first is making a key for identifying 18 species of beetles that were in the textbook.  The second involves making a key for identifying the teachers in the school.  First the subjects were separated into 2 groups based on a characteristic, and then were further subdivided based on different characteristics until each subject had its own line.  The keys were then exchanged and checked by classmates for effectiveness.
