The goal behind this lab was to purify a sample of foul water using a variety of
techniques which included:
1. Oil Water Separation by letting the oil settle out and then siphoning out the bottom water layer.
2. Sand Filtration, which got rid of the larger particles.
3. Charcoal Absorption and Filtration, which got rid of the color and odor of the water.

Percent recovery of purified water from each groups initial 100 ml sample were from high to low:
2006: 90%, 90%, 73%, 70%, 70%, 60%, 60%, 30%
2007: 75%, 75%, 70%, 65%, 54%, 50%, 45%, 40%
2008: 80%, 79%, 69%, 69%, 68%, 63%, 60%, 50%
